Fan Zhang graduated from Victoria University of Australia in 2009 and received his bachelor degree of IT during this period. In 2011, he finished his master degree of database system management in University of Sydney. Then he joined U&D Coal Ltd in Brisbane as the company IT administrator. From 2017, Fan Zhang studies for his Ph.D. in Peking University and does the research work in ICST.

Fan Zhang is mainly engaged in research of streaming graph area currently includes streaming graph data structure, query and algorithms.

In 2022, he received his Ph.D. from the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University. He is now an entrepreneur.
